Earth in State of Flux

In celebration of Earth Day on April 22, NASA has published a new version of its image gallery "State of Flux." This gallery presents stunning photos taken mostly from space, of ever-changing Earth, portraying before-and-after images of changes that occurred over days to centuries in time span.  Destruction caused by extreme weather events, the retreat of glaciers from global warming, and the impact of human expansion from population growth are depicted.
