Leaked documents from the climate denial machine
Documents leaked from the Heartland Institute, a nonprofit think tank, show its funding of several leading voices of global warming skepticism and also a plan to teach climate change skepticism in schools. Documents were leaked anonomously to several publications and global warming proponents. From MSNBC: Leaked: a plan to teach climate change skepticism in schools.
DeSmogBlog says "It is clear from the documents that Heartland advocates against responsible climate mitigation and then uses that advocacy to raise money from oil companies and 'other corporations whose interests are threatened by climate policies.'" See: Heartland Insider Exposes Institute's Budget and Strategy.

Wow, denier funding is peanuts. These documents contradict the constant claims of 'well funded climate denialism'. It shows they were never true, alarmists simply made them up.
For years I never really knew if deniers were well funded or not. Now I know they were never well funded.
Its the greenies who have been well funded all along.
Thank you Desmogblog. Nice work
The documents circulated do indeed show Heartland struggling to raise money from conservative donors. Seems as if conservatives actually believe in the science of climate change more than they are willing to admit.
