Greener computing by Google and Intel

Google and Intel have launched an initiative to save electricity, called the Climate Savers Computing Initiative, which also includes Dell, EDS, the Environmental Protection Agency, IBM and many other companies and organizations. By setting new, aggressive goals for energy-efficient computers and components, the participants hope to reduce both energy needs and greenhouse gas emissions typically produced by energy generation or by manufacturing.
