Permafrost thawing

An important warning from a recent study by permafrost experts: Current warming will cause permafrost thawing that will contribute more green house gases as decaying plants that are stuck below ground for millennia release CO2 and methane into the air. This factor has not yet been accounted for in warming predictions by the IPCC.
